Submission Guidelines
Thank you for considering us for your work. Please read the following guidelines before submitting.
How to Submit
Please submit your work using our Submission Form.
Submissions should be provided as either:
-
a PDF (maximum 20 MB); or
-
a link to an online gallery.
What to Include
Please include:
-
a carefully edited selection of no more than 40 images. This is sufficient for us to assess the project in the first instance, and we may request to see additional material if your submission progresses.
-
a short statement outlining the work, including where and when the work was made, together with any relevant background or context that will help us understand the project.
- any supporting information that you feel is relevant, such as previous publications, recent exhibitions, press coverage, upcoming events, or an established website, social media presence or newsletter.
If the project has been published previously, please include details of the publication, including the publisher, publication date and, if currently available, distribution or sales information.
You are also welcome to include links to your website, social media or newsletter.
Editorial Focus
We are particularly interested in projects made in Britain and Ireland, or by photographers from Britain and Ireland.
Please submit a sequence of photographs rather than a designed book dummy or layout. Every publication is developed collaboratively; editorial sequencing and design form an important part of our publishing process.
Completed projects and works in progress are both welcome, provided the work is sufficiently developed for us to make an editorial assessment. Please do not submit individual images.
Previously published projects are welcome, provided the publication is now out of print.
Simultaneous submissions to other publishers are welcome.
Rights
Submitting your work does not transfer any copyright or other intellectual property rights to us. Copyright remains with the photographer.
By submitting your work, you grant us a limited licence to store, view and assess the submission for editorial consideration. This licence is solely for the purpose of evaluating your work for potential publication.
We will not reproduce, publish or otherwise use your work in any editorial, promotional or commercial context without your prior agreement.
As part of our editorial process, we may share submissions in confidence with trusted industry professionals for the sole purpose of evaluating the work for publication. Such review does not affect your ownership of the work or grant us any additional rights.
Response
We review every submission we receive. If your project is shortlisted for further consideration, we will contact you by email.
Due to the volume of work submitted, we are unfortunately unable to respond to unsuccessful submissions.
